Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS)

An integrated commercial vehicle ADAS combining LDW, ISA, AEBS and ACC to support EU GSR compliance.

Integrated Driver Assistance Functions

Combines a forward-facing camera and millimeter-wave radar to support Lane Departure Warning (LDW), Intelligent Speed Assistance (ISA), Advanced Emergency Braking System (AEBS), and Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC).

Real-Time Risk Detection and Response

Continuously detects lane markings, posted speed limits, and objects ahead. When unintentional lane departure, speeding, or a potential forward collision is identified, the system can provide graduated alerts and, where required, initiate braking intervention. ACC adjusts vehicle speed according to traffic ahead while maintaining a preset following distance.

OEM-Oriented Platform Integration

A modular architecture supports connection to the vehicle CAN network and domain controller, with vehicle-specific camera and radar installation and calibration for integration across different commercial vehicle platforms.

All-Weather Smart CMS | CMS31

Visual and audible alerts for clear driver interaction.

Clear Indirect Vision

CMS31 combines high-definition camera assemblies with in-cab displays as a compliant alternative to conventional exterior mirrors. Wide-angle cameras extend rearward and sideward fields of vision, while low-light imaging and automatic lens cleaning support clear video in darkness, rain, fog, and other challenging conditions. System latency is no more than 50 ms.

Reduced Exterior Profile

The camera assembly has approximately one-third of the frontal area of a conventional exterior mirror, helping reduce aerodynamic drag and vehicle energy consumption while supporting vehicle energy-efficiency optimisation.

Active Safety and Regulatory Integration

CMS31 can integrate active-safety functions including Blind Spot Detection, Blind Spot Information System (BSIS), and Moving Off Information System (MOIS). It is certified in accordance with UN R46 for Camera-Monitor Systems and supports vehicle-level integration and compliance development for relevant UN R151 and UN R159 functions.

DOMAIN | ESS2.0

A scalable single-domain-controller solution integrating multiple GSR safety functions for European commercial vehicles.

Single-Domain GSR Function Integration

Built on a unified domain-controller architecture, ESS2.0 can integrate AEBS, BSIS, MOIS, LDWS, ISA, DDAW, ADDW, and reversing detection functions. Function packages can be configured according to the vehicle platform, target market, and applicable regulatory requirements.

Centralised Multi-Sensor Processing

The system connects with forward-facing cameras, millimeter-wave radar, driver-monitoring cameras, and side-mounted sensing devices for centralised multisensor processing. It supports corresponding detection, risk assessment, driver warning, and braking functions for forward collisions, blind spots, moving-off manoeuvres, lane departure, speeding, and driver-state risks.

Scalable Domain Architecture

Compared with a conventional distributed multi-ECU architecture, the centralised design helps reduce the number of controllers, vehicle wiring, and system integration complexity. The hardware and software architecture supports future addition of functions such as 360° surround view and ACC, while reserving computing capacity and interfaces for OTA updates and feature expansion.

Blind Spot Information System (BSIS)

AI-powered detection identifies vulnerable road users (VRUs) in vehicle blind spots and provides real-time collision risk warnings.

Side Blind-Spot VRU Monitoring

Side-mounted cameras and AI vision algorithms detect pedestrians, cyclists, and other vulnerable road users (VRUs), while distinguishing relevant road users from stationary objects. During low-speed driving and turning manoeuvres at 0–30 km/h, the system continuously evaluates object position, movement, and vehicle status.

Graduated Risk Warnings

When a potential side-collision risk is identified, the system provides risk-based visual and audible warnings, prompting the driver to take appropriate braking or steering action.

Regulatory Function and Vehicle Integration

For regulatory applications, the system supports the near-side cyclist detection and warning functions specified in UN R151. Camera installation can be configured for different vehicle body structures, with integration to the vehicle CAN network and compatible peripheral devices.

Driver Monitoring System (DMS)

Uses an in-cab camera and AI vision to detect driver drowsiness and distraction and provide corresponding risk warnings.

Driver-State Detection

The system analyses the driver’s eye status, head position, and gaze direction in real time to identify signs of drowsiness such as prolonged eye closure and yawning, as well as distraction behaviours including extended off-road glances and mobile phone use.

Risk-Based Driver Alerts

When an abnormal driver state is identified, the system provides visual alerts through the instrument cluster or in-cab display, accompanied by audible warnings, prompting the driver to refocus on the road or stop and rest when it is safe to do so.

DDAW / ADDW Integration and Platform Adaptation

The system supports vehicle-level integration and compliance development for relevant EU Driver Drowsiness and Attention Warning (DDAW) and Advanced Driver Distraction Warning (ADDW) requirements. Its modular design accommodates dashboard and A-pillar mounting positions and supports connection to the vehicle CAN network, in-cab display, and domain controller.

AVM360 Surround View System

A 360° surround-view system combining low-speed protection, right-turn braking assist, and transparent underbody visualisation.

360° Surround View

Four wide-angle cameras mounted at the front, rear, left, and right sides of the vehicle capture its surroundings in real time. Image-stitching algorithms generate a bird’s-eye view to help the driver identify surrounding blind spots during low-speed driving, turning, and parking.

Low-Speed Protection and Right-Turn Braking Assist

Front and rear low-speed protection monitors pedestrians and obstacles close to the vehicle and can issue warnings or initiate braking intervention when a collision risk is identified. Right-Turn Braking Assist detects pedestrians, cyclists, and other VRUs in the right-side blind spot and can apply braking force where necessary to help avoid or mitigate a collision.

Transparent Underbody View and Platform Integration

The transparent underbody function reconstructs road imagery captured as the vehicle moves to present the area beneath and around the vehicle. AVM360 supports connection to the vehicle CAN network, in-cab display, and domain controller, with automated calibration, distortion correction, and image stitching for different vehicle dimensions and camera mounting heights.

Moving Off Information System (MOIS)

Monitors the close-proximity area ahead when moving off or travelling straight at low speed and alerts the driver to pedestrians and cyclists.

Close-Proximity Front Monitoring

A forward-facing wide-angle camera and AI vision algorithms monitor pedestrians, cyclists, and other vulnerable road users (VRUs) in the area immediately ahead when the vehicle moves off or travels straight at low speed, supplementing the driver’s direct view.

Driver Information and Warning

The system continuously evaluates object position, movement, and potential collision risk. When a risk is identified, it provides visual information through the instrument cluster or in-cab display, accompanied by an audible warning, prompting the driver to remain stationary or take timely braking action.

UN R159 and Vehicle Integration

For regulatory applications, the system supports the pedestrian and cyclist detection and driver-information functions specified in UN R159. It integrates with the vehicle CAN network, in-cab display, and domain controller, and can share display, control, and communication resources with BSIS.

Radar-Vision Fusion Perception

Data-level fusion of millimeter-wave radar and vision algorithms for accurate, stable perception.

Complementary Multi-Sensor Perception

Millimeter-wave radar provides object distance, relative speed, and position information, while AI vision supports object classification and scene understanding. Together, the sensors detect vehicles, pedestrians, cyclists, other vulnerable road users (VRUs), and obstacles.

Object-Level Fusion in Challenging Conditions

Spatiotemporal alignment, object association, and confidence-weighted processing are used to cross-validate multisensor information and generate fused object-level data. In rain, fog, darkness, strong glare, and other challenging conditions, the complementary sensing approach helps address the limitations of a single sensing technology and reduce false or missed detections.

Perception Output for ADAS Functions

Fused object information can be transmitted to an ADAS domain controller or standalone ECU, providing perception data for active-safety functions including AEBS, ACC, BSIS, and MOIS.

Regulatory Compliance

Supporting key EU GSR and UNECE requirements across active safety, driver awareness, cybersecurity and software updates.
